Ways to Feel the Disney Magic at Home

Look. Not being able to go to Disneyland sucks. I hate it. It sucks. I hate it some more. And another look, it’s probably going to be a long time before the parks reopen, and an even longer time until they are open in a capacity reminiscent of the Disneyland we know and love. But while you are having Disneyland withdrawals, there are some things you can to do bring a little of the Disney magic home. Desperate times call for desperate measures and all that!

Watch Disney Movies: This one is a duh. Seriously, thank whatever powers that be that we are blessed with Disney+ during these times. Now is a great time to catch up on Disney+ programming. Or why not watch all those Marvel movies you’ve been meaning to get to? Now is the perfect time to introduce your kids to all the Disney classics. This is probably the easiest way to bring some Disney love into your home.

Make Some Disney Treats: Disney has blessed us with some of their in park recipes lately, and what better way to bring Disneyland home than by making your own churros or Dole Whip? We’ll be making some churros here at our house soon for a little taste of our home away from home.

Watch Disneyland Videos: Not going to lie, I’ve definitely done this already when the nostalgia was too much for me and I needed to actually SEE the parks. I love to watch parades and Fantasmic, or even watch shorts of the band or live shows. It’s one of the easiest ways to feel like you are back in the parks. I love all of DAPS Magic’s videos!

Plan Your Perfect Disneyland Day: I did this last week, and it was a ton of fun! Of course, it had some bittersweet moments, but more than anything, it made me excited for my next day in the parks, whenever that might come to be.

Support Disneyland Bloggers: Lots of Disneyland bloggers/IGers are posting tons of Disney content to help you get through these Disneyland-less times. My favorites are This Fairy Tale Life and Happiest Blog on Earth. Follow their blogs, and find them on Instagram for some daily Disney love.

Times are hard right now, guys, and I know I always turn to Disneyland when I’m in need of a pick me up, and clearly, that’s not an option right now. But the magic of Disney doesn’t just lie in the parks, it’s definitely a magic you can bring home with you! How do you bring the Disney magic into your home?
