Ten Things I’m Excited to Watch on Disney+
In case you have been living under a rock for the last week, Disney+ (Disney’s all-inclusive streaming network) officially launched last week. I stayed off it for the first day because I figured it would be mostly a disaster (according to Twitter, I was right), but I jumped right in early last week and I have been loving it so far. There are simply not enough hours in the day for me to be able to watch everything I want to watch (especially since I am in the middle of my Pitch Wars revisions), but I have a long list of TV shows, movies, and specials that I can’t wait to get my eyeballs on. Here are my top ten (in no particular order):
The Mandalorian: We’ve already watched the first two episodes and I am loving it so far. Though if I have to go this whole series without ever seeing Pedro Pascal’s face, I’m gonna be mad. Also, I would die for Baby Yoda.
Encore: In this series, Kristen Bell will reunite former high school theater kids to perform shows they staged in school and the high school theater nerd in me is already crying.
Tom and Huck: As a HUGE JTT fan in my youth, I cannot wait to revisit this movie. I’m sure it’s now terrible and will make me cringe, but I loved it so much when it came out, I’m looking forward to seeing it again.
The Imagineering Story: Look. I’ve loved this company and its parks for basically my entire life. I know this docuseries is going to make me cry my face off and I’m not mad about it.
Marvel’s Runaways: There’s not a lot in the MCU I haven’t seen at this point, but this is one of the few. I’m cautiously hopeful I will enjoy this series.
Clone Wars, Rebels, and The Resistance: Yes, these are technically three separate series, but they are all part of the Star Wars world so I’m counting them as one. These are the only three things on my Star Wars watch list that I’ve never seen before, so I’m excited to see what they’re about.
Noelle: I love Christmas movies and I love Anna Kendrick, so really, what else do I need in life?
Swiss Family Robinson: This was a big favorite of mine as a kid, and I was pretty devastated when the treehouse at Disneyland was swapped out for Tarzan. I’m interested to see how I feel about this one as an adult.
While You Were Sleeping: One of my all-time favorite rom-coms, I was kind of surprised to see this on the list, but you bet your ass I will be watching this one, especially with Christmas right around the corner.
Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast, Aladdin, and Lion King: Yeah, I know, also not just one, but as far as I’m concerned, this four go together and they basically define my childhood. I’m super stoked to revisit my all-time faves, and to share them with Squirt (he hasn’t seen any of them!).
There is, of course, a ton more I plan on watching, and so many future projects I’m looking forward to (Falcon and Winter Soldier, ahem), but these ten will be top of my list. What are you most looking forward to?

There is so much I’m excited to watch! So far I’ve been keeping up on the Mandalorian, The World According to Jeff Goldblum, the Imagineering Story, and Encore. Excited to have some more time to explore other things!
