Our first brick or treat at LEGOLAND!

I was compensated in the form of money, discount, or free product/experience in exchange for this post. All opinions are my own.

So we were super stoked to head down to our first ever Brick or Treat at Legoland last weekend. Squirt is just starting to get into Halloween in a way that actually means something, and he is basically the world’s biggest Legoland fan so this was the perfect opportunity for us to celebrate. Matt and I hadn’t been back to the park since our trip last December, but Squirt was lucky enough to go with the grandparents a couple months ago (and he asks to go back pretty much every week). I was excited to get to explore some different areas of the park and see what tricks and treats were in store for us at Brick or Treat.

Squirt dressed up as Captain America because I have fully indoctrinated him into the Marvel Universe. The kid is obsessed with superheroes and I’m not mad about it. When we arrived at the park, we were all pretty hungry so we headed over to grab some dinner at Knights’ Smokehouse BBQ. It definitely wasn’t as good as our meal last time at the cafe in the aquarium, but we did happen to be right by the stage where they hosted the Brick or Treat welcome, followed shortly by the Witchettes, who were super cute. I liked that there were lots of performances throughout the event, spread around the park, with lots of variety.

Since this experience was hosted for us (thank you Legoland!) we were invited to try a mini version of the Monster Mango Chili Shake from Castle Ice Cream. It was pretty delicious, the perfect combo of sweet and spicy.

We didn’t actually do a ton of actual “brick or treating” during our stay, which is fine by me since I end up eating all of Squirt’s candy anyway. The stations we did stop by were very generous, and even though we didn’t make it a focus of our visit, we still walked out with a decent amount of candy. What I enjoyed doing most during the party was walking around and checking out all the decor. There were tons of super cute displays and of course, everything was made of Legos!

But the cutest display was this one right here! Avengers assemble!

Overall, we had a fabulous time at Brick or Treat. The most important thing to me at events like this is whether or not Squirt has fun, and he has yet to have a disappointing experience at Legoland. Every time he goes, he immediately asks when we can go back, and as a mom, you can’t beat that!
