2019 Halloween Time Yummies Part One
We might have just entered the month of October, but Halloween Time at Disneyland has been up and running for almost a month now, which means I have had time to sample plenty of the tasty treats on my must eat list. Here are some of the highlights (in no particular order):
Bacon Cheddar Ale Soup from Pacific Wharf Cafe: I’ve had this in years past and it is super tasty. I don’t usually get a chance to eat it because I can’t eat soup when it’s hot and I’m not typically at the parks after dark (aka the only time it’s cool in the months of September and October). But I went to the parks last week to catch the Electrical Parade and figured this was the perfect opportunity to get my soup on. And it was as delicious as always.

Coco Churro from the Frontierland Cart: The Coco churro wasn’t on my original list, mostly because there are too many tasty churros and this one sounded similar to the Groom churro, but I’m really glad I defied my own orders and got one anyway. It’s a better chocolate than the Groom churro, and it comes with a spicy chocolate dipping sauce that is amazeballs.

Haunted Mansion Groom Churro from the Critter Country Cart: Okay. This churro is too much. The chocolate is super overpowering and kind of bitter and it was just bleh. Also, it’s super annoying that the Bride and Groom churros are sold at different carts. Don’t they know we need to be able to take pics of them together?!?!?! I do love the wrapper though.

Spiked Hard Apple Float from Clarabelle’s: Guys. If you get one thing this Halloween season, it needs to be this. Not only does this taste like a caramel apple, I got a NICE buzz from it. Seriously. It’s delicious and packs a not bad punch considering.

Orange Sugar Skull Pot de Creme from Rancho del Zocalo: Mostly this is cute. It tastes good, but it’s nothing new or different. We have seen iterations of this dessert on most holiday menus so I wouldn’t go out of my way to get it, but if you’re already at Rancho, it’s a cute sweet treat.

Delicum 639 Pizza from Pizza Planet: I couldn’t tell you everything that’s on this pizza, all I can say is it was super tasty. I would 100% eat this again and I don’t usually do pizza in the parks.

Minnie Witch Shake from Schmoozies: Let’s be real. We’re gettin this for the ‘gram. It’s basically the cutest shake to ever be shook, and yes, it tasted good, and no, that’s not why I got it.

Haul-O-Ween Churro from Cozy Cone: I’m not sure how I feel about a churro that needs to be eaten with a fork. This is a lot, to say the least. It tastes good, but this is a serious sugar overload that I’m not sure I would recommend unless you’re going to share it with a couple people.

Haunted Mansion Bride Churro from the New Orleans Square Cart: One of the selling points of this churro was the “fancy dress”. To me, this is pretty much what the normal churro wrapper looks like (the Groom churro wrapper is better). This churro tastes good, but be warned, it’s messy. Don’t eat one if you’re wearing a black shirt.

Not too bad for the first round of eats and treats! With another month left to go, I think I should be able to hit most of the remaining items on my list! Have you tried anything I so good I shouldn’t miss it? Let me know!
