Last Month at Disneyland: August 2019

So I had another month of not a lot of trips to Disneyland, boo. I think it might be time to upgrade Squirt’s pass because being blocked out the whole summer really sucks. Bleh. But I still had some fun times at the parks in August, so let’s take a look back, shall we?

If you look closely, you can spot one of my favorite Toy Story 4 characters churning out some popcorn on Pixar Pier. The popcorn stand in the middle of the pier now has Duke Caboom hard at work and he’s super cute.

Summer might be tough in the parks because hello heat wave, but there is nothing quite like the castle and a blue sky. I will never get tired of taking pictures of the castle, especially now that she’s all upgraded and bright and gorgeous. Pro Tip: If you want a pic of the castle without the crowds, head over there when the band is going to be doing their March Along set (usually around 12:30) as they close the bridge for the band and the characters to walk through.

We spend a fair amount of time at Bing Bong’s because it’s right next to the Pixarmonic Orchestra stage (where Matt plays fairly often), but this was our first time getting a slushie there (they have some other cute kind of name that I don’t remember). This is the rainbow unicorn which has all the flavors, plus Nerds on top for an added sugar rush. It was good, but we’ll we sticking with single flavors from now on.

So I still haven’t been on Jessie’s Critter Carousel because I do not do rides that go around in a circle, but it’s just the cutest thing ever and I love this sign/statue out in front. All the animals on the carousel itself are adorable too, but I just can’t bring myself to risk the nausea and go for a spin.

Halloween Time in the park starts today, so I’m sure the next two months will be filled with pumpkins and candy corn and all kinds of delicious treats, so check back next month for all the highlights. Or better yet, follow me on Instagram @falonloveslife to see it all go down in real time!
