Sea Life Aquarium at Legoland California
One of the first things I noticed when I was checking out the Legoland website was their inclusion of an aquarium on property. Squirt is obsessed with aquariums, sharks in particular, so I knew right away we had to make it part of our first trip to Legoland. When it came time to choose which pass to buy him, we automatically went for the one with Sea Life included. And we were not disappointed. We spent a good chunk of our day exploring the aquarium, and I know that it will be one of our must dos on all of our subsequent trips (of which there will be many-I bought the pass, we’re going!). Here are some highlights from our first trip around the Sea Life Aquarium!
Because it’s Legoland, there are of course, Legos in this aquarium. There are several of these displays mixed in throughout, which is super cool because the fish swim around them and interact with the Legos.

We had lunch at the cafe at Sea Life (which you can eat at even if you don’t purchase admission to the aquarium). Not going to lie, it was a tasty lunch. I had a grilled cheese, Matt had a grilled turkey, and Squirt had the kids mac and cheese.

One of the main things I really liked about the cafe was that they make everything right in front of you so you can customize what you want, and you know it’s made fresh. I will also say that lunch for the three of us was under $25 which rarely happens at Disneyland, so bonus there.

After lunch we took our time exploring the aquarium. They have everything you could want to see, from sharks and jellyfish to a petting pond with starfish. Squirt loved all of it, and he was especially tickled to find all of the “cool Lego guys” displayed in the aquarium waters.

Sea Life Aquarium is one of the places I’m most looking forward to spending more time at. I can definitely say we will eat at the cafe again, and I can guarantee Squirt is going to want to see the sharks every time we visit. If you and/or your kid enjoy exploring ocean life, it’s definitely worth adding in the aquarium as part of your day.
