Disneyland Resort Christmas Food Round Up

Well, folks, today is a sad, sad, day. Today is the day I officially begin my two week block out at Disneyland, which means I will likely not make it back to the parks before the official end of the holiday season on January 6, 2019. Now, technically I’m not blocked out on the 6th itself, so there’s a decent chance I’ll run over to the parks for some final tasty holiday treats, but chances are, I’ve enjoyed my last peppermint delight for the season. However, I’m sure many of you have holiday trips planned over the next two weeks, so here are some of the goodies you can look forward to trying!

This is the peppermint shake from Schmoozies in California Adventure. Peppermint ice cream is one of my all-time favorite flavors, so I was all about this shake. My only problem with it was the mound of whipped cream on top. It makes for an adorable picture, but it dripped everywhere and was quite messy. Overall though, a very tasty treat.

This is the wreath doughnut, also from Schmoozies. Full disclosure: I didn’t actually eat this one because I was solo on this trip and it’s really big. But it was pretty and I’m sure it tastes great!

We had family dinner at Flo’s last week, so I was able to snag the peppermint pie. The three of us shared this mini pie and it was more than enough. It’s very rich, but even with that said, I could have used more chocolate and less peppermint. But not a bad dessert if it can satisfy three people!

The Santa hat macaron from Jolly Holiday made a very tasty morning after Disneyland breakfast. Jolly Holiday always has bomb macarons, and I’m just going to keep trying all of them for as long as they keep making them.

I haven’t tried as many churros during Christmas as I did during Halloween, but I think this one was my favorite. It’s the gingerbread churro with marshmallow dipping sauce from the cart in front of the castle. The gingerbread is not overwhelming and I really liked the sauce, even though it’s super sticky.

Did I mention that I love peppermint ice cream? The peppermint sundae from Gibson Girl (similar sundae also available from Clarabelle’s in DCA) is a peppermint lover’s dream. Honestly, it was too much, even split among all three of us. But it was delicious!

You can’t have a holiday without at least one rice krispy treat. This one was the cutest, and as always, it was yum.

The other churro I sampled was the peppermint and chocolate churro from the Redwood Creek cart in DCA. I liked this one more than I thought I was going to. I was unsure about the peppermint and churro combo, but it turned out to be pretty good.

It’s hard to believe the holidays are already upon us! They will be here and done before we know it, and then I don’t know what I’m going to do with myself! Maybe I’ll actually eat some vegetables….(probably not).

What’s been your favorite holiday treat this year?
